As everyone directly involved with motorsport has noticed, the prices of racing rubber have gone sky high over the past few months. The organizing team of the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup recognizes the significant raise of costs for the teams and starts a campaign to compensate NEC teams for the considerable increase of their budgets. |

The finale of the Northern European Cup was one to remember. With temperatures over 30 degrees, 22 participants and constant fights for podium the last three races of 2011 were a pleasure to watch, as Daniil Kvyat took all victories and Sainz claimed the title and his cup for the 2011 season. |

A premiere for the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup during the last event of the international 2011 calendar. For the first time ever, the series will race at the world famous Grand Prix track of Monza. With twenty-four drivers registered, the upcoming weekend of 23 – 25 September promises a lot for the last three races of this year. |
